"This was a template of Queens Bath from the Big Island. In truth this special place no longer exists. Years ago an erruption from the great volcano's filled this historical place as well as the famous 'black sand' beach. Years ago we would go there to swim with all six of our children."

In this pristine time the wahine's bath admidst abundant ginger blossoms that bloom in yellow and white. The taro and pink awapuhi are in the fore ground. In the days when the Queen came, the entire village made preparations for weeks in advance. Fragrant Pua Kini kini where placed on coconut spines and suspended in the water to make a fragrant pond.

The pond is fed from the waterfall in the distance, and the lava tubes that curse under the water warm the waters naturally. The heat from the lava emits small effervescing bubbles that create a mist on the surface. Not unlike the waters in France.

Our maidens wash their hair with 'Awapuhi' a natural fragrant shampoo that grows on the edges of the water (see wahine in fore ground holding a bloom.)

The mood and the ambiance is timeless as they all linger at the baths, enjoying the Hawaiian sunset..It could be today or a hundred years ago.. Aloha
