09/04/2009 Father Damien Show at St. Johns in Mililani

The night air in Honolulu had finally cooled as over 350 people walked briskly to the performance. Vincent R Linares was billed to perform a two-hour “one man” play on the story of Father Damien of Molokai. Prior to the play tables were set up for the sale of t-shirts and various items related to the theme; the life of Father Damien amongst those afflicted with Hansen’s disease in Molokai. This was the first opportunity we’d had to display the “Damien Lithograph.” The prints had been literally picked up that morning at 10 for a 12:00 noon flight. To say they were “hot” off the press was no exaggeration! The performance was spectacular! The evening was a complete success!
